The one with the longest track record in distance learning. SMU has been teaching at a distance since 2001, well before online degrees were formally entitled, and that experience shows in how its programmes are structured for people already working.

Is a MAHE online degree valid?

Yes. Manipal Academy of Higher Education holds UGC entitlement for the programmes it offers online, which under UGC regulations makes the degree equivalent to the same degree earned on campus. The certificate is MAHE’s standard degree certificate and does not record the mode of study.

What is MAHE accredited as?

NAAC A++, Institution of Eminence, UGC-entitled. Accreditation is awarded to the university, so it applies to the online programmes as much as the on-campus ones.
