Eligibility criteria
Requirements are lower than most applicants assume, and there is normally no entrance exam. Here is what each programme actually asks for.
The short version
- Undergraduate: a pass in 10+2 from a recognised board.
- Postgraduate: a bachelor's degree in any discipline. Some programmes set a 40% minimum, with an admission test as the route in below that.
- MCA only: Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level, or a bridge course.
- International applicants: a Certificate of Equivalence from the AIU.

Eligibility: common questions
What if my graduation percentage is below the minimum?
For programmes that set a 40% minimum, applicants below it are not automatically refused - you may be asked to clear an admission test instead. Speak to a counsellor about your specific marks.
I do not have Mathematics at 10+2. Can I still do the MCA?
Yes. Applicants without Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level can qualify by completing a bridge course before the programme begins.
Can final-year students apply?
Final-year students can usually apply for postgraduate programmes, but admission is confirmed only once your graduation result is available.
Is work experience required?
No. Work experience is welcome and helps in placements, but it is not an admission requirement for these programmes.
I studied outside India. What do I need?
A Certificate of Equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities, alongside your qualification certificates. Diplomas are generally not accepted in place of school-leaving certificates.
